Job description

To be responsible for quantity surveying functions such as sourcing, cost/contract negotiation, purchase order and delivery confirmation.

To source, qualify and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimum terms with highest benefits; to eliminate from the list any non-performing suppliers and ensure suppliers meet the Company’s requirements.

To establish and continuously improve the quantity surveying and procurement system and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to achieve optimal efficiency.

Familiar in contract management functions.

To perform and provide supervision to all contractual matter, tendering procedures (i.e. contract, cost control, cashflow, project budgeting, claims, etc).

To liaise with Client/ Consultant/ Sub-contractors/ Suppliers on contractual matters including payment claims, change orders, variation orders, extension of time, etc.

To evaluate the sub-contractors claim and prepare certificate.

To finalise project accounts with sub-contractors.

To be able to advise on contractual matters.

To undertake any other tasks as directed by the Superior/Management as and when required.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess a Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent.

Minimum of 8 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Can multi-task and cope with tight work schedules.

Possess strong communication and leadership skills.

Capable of working independently and handling correspondence work.

Working location: Ipoh area.
