A dynamic construction company in Selangor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage financial aspects of construction projects. Responsibilities include cost estimation, budgeting, and liaising with teams to ensure timely delivery. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, 2+ years of experience, and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in software like Microsoft Project and Excel is required. We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at Siddhi Jaya Sdn. Bhd. in Jenjarom, Selangor. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is a contract position, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects in the construction industry.
Post-contract works – material budgeting, cost estimation, as-built site measurement and quantity taking-off before site commencement, invitation of quotation and negotiation, sub-contractor award, handle progress claim, VO claim, progress payment, final account and meeting.
Liaising with a variety of other teams and helping to keep a project on track.
Preparation sub-contract procurement.
Attend tender interviews and follow up with the preparation and issuance of Tender Clarification/Addendum if necessary.
Undertaking tender evaluation report for various sub-contract works. (including negotiation with tenderers)
Preparation of contract document for sub-contractor including Letter of Award, Bill of Quantities and related supporting document.
To carry out measurement for sub-contractor's work done and prepare sub-contractor’s certificate.
To prepare submission of Main Contract variation order.
Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project accounting principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proficient in using quantity surveying software, such as Microsoft project, Microsoft excel & Microsoft words.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Detailed-oriented and organized, with a strong attention to accuracy.
