A manufacturing company is seeking a Junior Quality Inspector in Kulai, Malaysia. The role involves inspecting and verifying product conformance to specifications, utilizing inspection techniques, and ensuring a clean, safe work environment. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a solid understanding of machining measurement gauges, and familiarity with Microsoft Office software. Attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude are essential for maintaining product quality in production.
Junior Level position to support quality inspection in production (Direct Labour). Inspects and verifies product conformance to material specifications including raw materials, in-process product, or contract-manufactured product. Inspects dimensions and other attributes of manufactured products (in process and finished) for conformance to requirements.
Completes necessary inspections of product by utilizing inspection equipment, inspection techniques, and specifications. Performs necessary computer transactions.
Completes inspections by utilizing inspection sheets, computer transactions, and product documentation. Cleans and packages product for storage or shipment.
Creates a nonconforming material report and MRB system to notify of nonconformance.
Verifies work of others and utilizes the email system to alert the appropriate teams of failures.
Creates and problem solves issues with documentation, labeling, and packaging to prepare product for shipment.
Creates, tracks and distributes ship status reports to the organization.
Moves throughout the final inspection area for proper workflow.
Maintains department inventories and performs all required inventory transactions.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by continually updating skills and knowledge in related fields, reviewing manufacturing processes, and professional publications.
Works with CQE, Core team and QE to understand requirements.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment by following established procedures and processes.
Microsoft Office software and other manufacturing computer software
Able to read commercial drafting standards and drawing interpretation
Knowledge and use of standard machining measurement gauges
Knowledge and training in basic SPC required
Reading and math skills required
Strong mechanical aptitude, Attention to detail, Excellent math skills, Accuracy in documentation & Strong interpersonal skills and initiative
Perform inspection and testing on product
Perform process and product audit
Graduated from SPM and above
Minimum of 3-year work experience
Experience in reading commercial drafting standards and drawing interpretation
Able to work on rotation shift.
