Quality Manager (EMS Industry) – Johor Bahru

Are you a results-driven Quality professional ready to elevate manufacturing excellence? We are a top-tier EMS manufacturer seeking a passionate and strategic Quality Manager to lead our Quality Assurance function and drive world-class standards across our operations.

What You Will Lead

As the Quality Manager, you will be the champion of continuous improvement across the plant. Your scope includes:

Quality Strategy & Leadership

Establish quality policies, standards and procedures to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Provide strategic direction for quality initiatives, audit readiness and customer satisfaction.

Manufacturing Quality Excellence

Lead quality performance improvement across production, incoming materials and outgoing inspections.

Approve or reject products based on quality standards and drive improvements to reduce defects.

Oversee root-cause analysis, CAPA implementation and preventive actions across departments.

Enhance First Pass Yield, OQC DPPM and customer complaint metrics.

Customer & Supplier Quality Management

Act as the key liaison to customers for quality matters; lead audits, reviews, escalations and problem resolution.

Ensure timely communication, primary replies within 24 hours and full case closure.

Set requirements for raw materials and suppliers, monitoring compliance through systemic audits.

Lead and guide a team of QA engineers, inspectors and technicians.

Build capability across the organization; training, coaching and strengthening quality mindset.

Coordinate internal audits, calibration activities, and continuous improvement projects.

What We’re Looking For
Mandatory Requirements

Mandarin-speaking is mandatory (to manage customer audits, documentation & stakeholder communication across regions).

Strong experience in EMS / electronics manufacturing, PCBA or high-volume assembly environment.

Hands‑on expertise in ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949, internal audit, customer quality, supplier quality and quality engineering tools.

Solid leadership capability; able to influence cross‑functional teams and drive change.

Strong analytical mindset, data‑driven approach, and excellent problem‑solving skills.

Preferred

Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or related field.

Experience managing customer complaints (RMA/Lot Return), FPY, DPPM, FAI, ORT metrics.

Ability to thrive under fast‑paced, dynamic manufacturing timelines.

Excellent communication, leadership maturity and audit presentation skills.
