Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Penang, Malaysia is looking for a QA Manager to oversee and monitor the quality assurance department. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in multinational firms, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role. Responsibilities include setting up quality systems, reviewing reports, and ensuring compliance with standards. Strong leadership skills and a Six Sigma Black Belt certification are preferred. This role is pivotal in promoting a pleasant work environment and addressing quality issues with clients.

Qualifications

  • Successful track record in previous companies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and oversee overall QA department activities.
  • Set up, implement, and maintain effective quality systems.
  • Review QA reports to meet requirements and standards.
  • Provide coaching and direction to staff.
  • Implement action plans to meet QA objectives.
  • Maintain a pleasant working environment.
  • Liaise with customers/vendors on quality issues.

Job description

Responsible to monitor and oversee overall QA dept activities and other quality activities were properly carry out and implement to meet department / company andobjective / target.

Responsibilities
  • Fully responsible all aspects in QA department.
  • Responsible for setting up, implement and maintain all effective quality system at QA dept.
  • To ensure all QA reports issued internal and external are properly review and meeting requirements.
  • Provide coaching and direction to staffs.
  • Implement and maintain action plan to meet QA department objective and target.
  • To promote and maintain pleasant working environment.
  • Revise action plan from time to time to meet company business condition.
  • QMS and EMS quality system to be properly maintained and checked towards customer and 3rd party audit.
  • Liaise with Customers/Vendors on Quality issues.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time.
Scope of Authority
  • Approve all type of reporting issued by QA to internal and external.
  • Approve all type of reporting required QA dept approval.
  • Delegate authority, assignment or other tasks to subordinate.
  • Decision on QA staffs welfare (exclude HR policy).
Requirements
  • Education Level: Minimum Diploma or Degree holder in Science, Engineering or Management.
  • Working Experience: Minimum 7 years in multinational companies of leading companies in relevant industry. 3 years in Management role. Successful track record in previous companies.
  • Skillset: Leadership skills and in depth understanding of quality control procedures & relevant legal standards. 6 sigma black belt is preferred.
