Job description

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes within the PCBA manufacturing environment meet strict quality and reliability requirements. This role leads the Quality Assurance team and collaborates with cross‑functional departments to establish, maintain, and continually improve the Quality Management System. The position requires strong analytical skills, hands‑on problem‑solving capability, and solid knowledge of international quality standards and customer expectations.

Position Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS)

Develop, implement, and maintain QMS in accordance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, and CE regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance with IPC and J-STD workmanship standards.

Prepare for and lead internal and external audits.

Quality Control & Assurance

Establish and oversee quality inspection procedures across PCBA manufacturing processes.

Monitor quality performance metrics and ensure effective quality gate controls.

Conduct root cause analysis and manage corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).

Lead, coach, and develop the QA/QC team to ensure high competency and performance.

Assign responsibilities, define goals, and conduct performance evaluations.

Drive continuous improvement activities to minimize defects and optimize process efficiency.

Promote use of quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Control Plan, and DOE.

Manage customer complaints, analyze failure data, and implement effective corrective actions.

Provide professional technical communication with customers and suppliers regarding quality‑related matters.

Regulatory & Compliance

Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, statutory obligations, and safety requirements.

Maintain awareness of latest regulatory changes and customer specification updates.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective action logs.

Present quality performance reports to senior management for decision making.

Position Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field; relevant certifications (CQE, Six Sigma, ASQ) are an advantage.

Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in PCBA or Electronic Manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of quality systems, methodologies, and tools: 8D, SPC, FMEA, MSA, Control Plan, CAPA.

Practical working experience with IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 standards is required.

Solid understanding of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 13485 / CE requirements.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and guide teams.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; able to resolve complex quality issues independently.

Excellent communication skills in English & Mandarin and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.

Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
