Job summary

A reputable printing company in Johor Bahru is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality assurance efforts. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining quality control processes in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in quality management, including 2 years in a management role. A Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with strong knowledge of quality control methods and excellent communication skills.

Job description

To understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes

To ensure ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is in compliance to the reference standard.

To develop and review specifications for products or processes.

To ensure the operations and documentation carried out to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 system.

To be responsible as management representative for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

To be responsible for overall effective operation of Quality Department and lead the quality team.

To develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required requirement for quality, function and reliability before delivery.

To ensure all legals standards are met.

To develop and implement strategies to improve the production process

To plan, execute and monitor product testing.

To regularly analyse quality trends and highlight key deviations to Management

To report to top management on the performance of the QMS including the need for improvement

To monitor quality of incoming raw materials, in process product & end product follow the customer specifications and requirements.

Work closely with customers, suppliers and production teams to meet the quality requirements.

To co-ordinate & oversee quality checking activities including manufacturing safety.

To review, prepare, administer and implement Quality Assurance Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other Operational procedures in accordance to the technical specifications, customers’ surveillance requirements, good manufacturing / engineering practices, and enforce the same on Operations in their execution.

To ensure quality department follow company rules and regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Bachelor Degree in Quality/ Manufacturing/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

At least 5 years in related experience; and

At least 2 year in management position.

Strong knowledge of quality control methods, tools and best practices.

Good knowledge in ISO 9001 and 14001 and FMEA.

Good interpersonal skill and communication skill.

Ability to communicate with different levels of workplace hierarchy.
