A leading fashion manufacturing company in Malaysia, Selangor is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure all garments meet quality specifications through thorough inspections of incoming fabrics and production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of garment technology and construction, with excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reporting quality issues, and collaborating with production teams. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards in garment production and ensuring compliance with buyer requirements.
Inspect incoming fabrics, trims, and accessories to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Conduct in-line and final inspections during garment production to identify defects or non-conformities.
Check garment measurements, stitching, finishing, color, labeling, and packaging against approved samples and specifications.
Record and report inspection results, including defects and corrective actions required.
Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
Approve or reject materials and garments based on quality standards.
Monitor production lines to ensure consistent quality during manufacturing.
Ensure that all garments comply with buyer requirements and internal quality guidelines.
Prepare daily, weekly, or batch-wise inspection reports for management.
Support pre-production meetings to discuss potential quality issues and preventive measures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the inspection area.
High school diploma or technical certificate in garment technology or related field (Diploma in Fashion, Textile, or Apparel preferred).
Strong understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, and finishing processes.
Good attention to detail and ability to identify fabric or workmanship defects.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and in coordination with production teams.
