Job description

We are looking for QA/QC Engineer candidates who are open to being stationed in East or West Coast, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

Project Engineering & Coordination

• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.


• Coordinate with design engineers for timely delivery of engineering packages.


• Monitor engineering deliverables against project schedules and milestones.

Procurement Interface

• Collaborate with procurement to ensure equipment and material specifications match design and project requirements.


• Review vendor technical submissions and participate in technical bid evaluations.


• Track material delivery and manage interface with logistics and warehouse department.

Construction

• Collaborate effectively with the site team/ subcontractors/ Consultants / Owner Representative to address technical challenges during construction.


• Ensure that engineering revisions are clearly communicated and correctly implemented on-site.


• Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to engineering designs.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance

• Support quality assurance processes by monitoring subcontractor works and request for Inspection for work done by QAQC/Consultant/Owner Representative.


• Ensure all works meet applicable codes, standards, and HSE requirements.


• Support the QAQC team and conduct field inspections and audits as needed. Responsible to close any Non-Conformance Reports

Documentation Preparation & Reporting

• Develop Project Execution Plan including construction method of statements.


• Support document controller in maintaining updated project documentation and drawings.


• Prepare progress updates to support project planner in daily, weekly and monthly progress reports preparation.


• Participate in project progress meetings and provide engineering input.

Commissioning & Handover

• Support testing and commissioning teams with technical documentation.


• Assist in system testing, performance validation, and final handover documentation.

Expected Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field).


• Project Engineer: At least 2 years of relevant experience in construction or renewable energy projects.


• Senior Project Engineer: At least 5 years of experience, including supervisory roles in Construction teams.


• Proven experience as a QAQC Engineer in the construction industry.


• Ability to manage complex projects and multitude of stakeholder


• Must be a team player, Self-driven & independent


• Highly systematic & organised


• Fluent in English, and Malay (Written & Verbal)


• Strong interpersonal & communication skills (Written & Verbal)


• High level of computer literacy & competency in Google Workspace - Sheets, Docs & Slides (or Microsoft equivalent)


• Willingness to travel / relocate (if required)
