A manufacturing company in Penang is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality operations and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering or Quality Management with over 5 years of relevant experience, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in English and Mandarin. This role includes supervising a team, implementing quality policies, and conducting audits to ensure products meet safety and reliability standards.
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager requires a diverse set of skills to effectively oversee quality assurance operations, manage teams, and ensure compliance with industry standards. He/she will also ensure products meet specific standards and improve procedures to ensure consistent quality. The QA manager will play a key role in ensuring products meet the required performance, safety, and reliability standards essential for end users.
The range of responsibilities of the QA Manager include but not limited to the following:
Establish and implement quality assurance policies and develop inspection and testing procedures for materials, components, and finished products.
Supervise, mentor, and assign tasks and responsibilities based on the team’s skills and workload; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Oversee the planning and execution of internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas of improvement, and develop corrective action plans.
Analyze defects, incidents, and product performance to identify trends and root causes. Propose and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
Cross Department Collaboration with project managers, production and other stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met.
Understand and ensure the quality requirements and expectations of customers are met.
Handle and investigate customer complaints and work with teams to resolve quality issues quickly.
Allocate and manage resources (time, budget, personnel) effectively to meet quality goals and ensure the QA team has the necessary tools, equipment, and training.

At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field with relevant work experience.
At least 5 years of working experience in quality management or a similar role in manufacturing industry; experience in wire and cable harness sectors will be an advantage.
Proficiency in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with diverse client base and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in data analysis and report preparation.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Good knowledge of standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, Lean).
