Job description

Assists the QA & QC Manager to ensure ongoing management and continual improvement of the Food Safety and Quality System.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage documents related to products. The documents include, but not limited to, product specification, ingredient listing, Safety Data Sheet (SDS), process flow, product’s information statement/declaration such as allergen, GMO, irradiation, Halal, customer’s questionnaires, specification sheets etc.
• Assist and respond to customer’s enquiries and complaints.
• Undertake the monthly Plant Sanitary Inspection and other associated verification activities.
• Arrange and carry out calibration of measuring devices (annually and as and when necessary).
• Conduct the requisite annual internal audit of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 and HACCP).
• Assist during external audits (ie. Regulatory, certification body or customer audits).
• Assist in the Halal certification application process.
• Assist in the FSMS and Halal documentation.
• Support the QA & QC Manager in carrying her tasks to ensure that the FSMS is in place.
• Initiate, recommend, investigate, and provide solutions and actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the products, process and food safety system.
• Liaise with Procurement Department with regards to document requisition (ie. Specification, SDS, process flowchart, checklists, Halal certificates, relevant Food Safety certificates etc.).
• Arrange samples for third party analysis.
• Other functions which may be instructed from time to time by the company or any designated person.

Requirements

• Preferred candidate graduated from food science/ technology.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia & English.
