Job summary

A food industry company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an operations specialist to ensure timely restaurant audits, evaluate performance, and support managers. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Food Science or Food Technology, ideally with some experience in the food industry, although fresh graduates are welcome. Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are essential, while knowledge of Mandarin is a plus. This role involves both office and field work, requiring travel to various restaurant locations.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in Food Science / Food Technology or a related discipline.
  • Preferably with at least 1 year of experience in the food industry or restaurant.
  • Physically fit to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure restaurant audits are completed on time.
  • Evaluate restaurant performance against operational standards.
  • Establish strong relationships with restaurant managers.
  • Provide ongoing support for operational improvements.
  • Communicate restaurant performance with supervisors.

Job description
Responsibilities
  1. Ensure restaurants audit are completed on time and within specified timelines.
  2. Evaluating restaurant performance against operation and quality standards.
  3. Establish a strong working relationship with restaurant managers, providing effective and ongoing communication.
  4. Influence restaurant managers on operations priorities through ongoing analysis of evaluations.
  5. Provide ongoing support to drive improvement in operations (restaurant visits and team coaching).
  6. Communicate restaurants performance with superior on timely basis.
  7. Investigate and handle food safety related customer complaint.
  8. Review and update HACCP documentations and lead the HACCP team to ensure HACCP certifications are maintained.
  9. Coordinate with QA manager to assure proper follow up on all regulatory issues (complaints, audit and request for information).
  10. Assist superior in all aspect of quality issues, including monitoring and follow up.
Requirements

Degree holder in Food Science / Food Technology or related discipline. Preferably with 1 year working experience in the food industry / restaurant. Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.

  • Physically fit to travel. Possess own transportation will be an added advantage.
