A leading automotive parts company in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality performance, manage corrective actions, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Mechanical or related engineering fields, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance. Proficiency in quality management tools and the ability to communicate in both English and Malay are essential. Immediate availability is advantageous.
Ensure implementation of agreed corrective actions by the team and report local Quality Performance to the QA team.
Handle customer quality requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
Stop processes when quality requirements are not fulfilled and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
Support and follow up on blocked materials and take full responsibility for finished goods quality.
Support and oversee Incoming Quality Control activities.
Liaise with the Purchasing team on supplier-related quality issues.
Manage PCN (Part Change Notification), Product Audits, Layered Process Audits, evaluate findings, and drive corrective, preventive, and continual improvement actions.
Review quality and production performance data related to Final Inspection.
Issue CPARs (Corrective and Preventive Action Requests) for any rejected parts identified during Final Inspection.
Follow up and review the overall action plans related to CPARs to ensure timely closure and effectiveness.
Coordinate and lead weekly quality meetings with the Production team to present rejection summaries and discuss improvement actions.
Lead Incoming Quality, In-Process Quality, and Final Inspection teams.
Establish and improve methods and processes for Final Inspection and packing.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior
Candidate must possess Degree in Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical Engineering/Automotive/Manufacturing Engineering/Quality Management or any equivalent.
At least 5-7 years of working experience in Quality Assurance or Project Management.
Strong problem-solving and analytical & interpersonal skills (APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, 7 QC Tools)
Able to join immediately is advantage.
Able to speak & write in English & Malay.
