Qualifications
  • EDUCATION BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
    • Required :High school graduate or equivalent education and experience.
    • Preferred :Possess professional certificate or higher education level
  • KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
    • Required :Understanding of fundamental chemistry principles and practices.
    • Preferred : Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

  • TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of complex and specialized quality control tests and assists with coordinating the operations of the lab.Responsibilities may include performing comprehensive and specialized calculations, leading other staff, and assisting with overseeing daily lab operations.
  • Runs comprehensive and specialized lab tests that require judgment and interpretation of results within general guidelines.
  • Responsible for evaluation of incoming raw materials and eliminate off-spec raw materials entering the supply-chain.
  • Responsible for records keeping for all testing performed and issue monthly reports.
  • Responsible for calibration schedule, calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Support production and safety activities like: OTMIS, Distress investigation, Waste minimization, Safety recognition, PSM, Lean Manufacturing programs, Throughput monitoring and daily production meetings.
  • Participating in the Safety program, ensure that all operations are carried out in a safe manner and to have an outstanding of health, safety and quality systems.
  • Performs complex calculations and additional analyses on test results to determine if product is within proper boundaries; provides direction to other lab technicians when required.
  • Assists with developing standard operational procedures and test guidelines and overseeing daily operations to ensure a safe and effective lab environment.
  • Recommends technical formula or material adjustments to the product based on test results and judgment; receives direction on issues when required and coordinates potential formula changes with corporate.
  • Oversees and/or cleans, maintains a clean and safe working environment.
  • Coordinates activities with production, maintenance, technology, or other plant personnel to ensure the effective flow of operations, communication between the lab and plant, and maintaining and updating formulas.
  • Responds to customer complaints regarding product quality, test results, and any other related information.
  • Reviews, completes, and enters a variety of forms, logs, and reports detailing test results to ensure compliance with operational procedures.
