Job summary

A leading construction firm in Johor Bahru is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager to oversee project quality compliance with standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field and at least 2–3 years experience in QA/QC within the construction industry. Responsibilities include managing the quality team, overseeing inspections, and developing solutions to quality issues. Strong communication and knowledge of quality management systems are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Basic QLASSIC awareness course attended.

Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, QMS and QLASSIC requirements.

Advancing quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

Plan and lead quality team to establish work schedules to meet service standards for inter‑departmental as well as external users like sub‑contractors / clients.

Oversee supervision of all visual inspections including inspections carried out by subcontractors.

Develop inspection and testing plans for new project sites, repair/defect works as well as alterations works.

Identify and develop solutions to rectify function/process deficiencies.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in QA/QC within the construction industry.

Familiar with construction codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g. CIDB, ISO, QLASSIC).

Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), inspection, and testing procedures.

Basic QLASSIC awareness course attended.

Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
