Job summary

A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer for solar energy projects in Johor, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and have 3-5 years of experience in MEP QA/QC. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with standards, and maintaining accurate QA/QC documentation. Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in MEP QA/QC, preferably in solar or renewable energy projects.
  • Certifications in QA/QC, Solar Technology, or Construction Management are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and testing for building systems including HVAC and electrical components.
  • Review and verify MEP works against approved drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including Inspection & Test Plans.
  • Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspection activities.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in QA/QC meetings and support internal audits.
  • Supervise testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Ensure timely closure of NCRs and suggest improvements for quality processes.
  • Review material submittals and shop drawings for compliance.
  • Maintain logs for inspections, test results, and material approvals.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO QMS & EHSMS procedures.
