Role Overview

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and managing comprehensive testing activities to ensure system quality, stability, and compliance with business requirements. This role works closely with developers, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing
• Execute API and web application testing
• Log, track, and manage defects through resolution
• Work closely with development teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes
• Support SIT, UAT, and post-deployment verification
• Review requirements and provide early feedback on testability and risks
• Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on QA experience
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices
• Experience in web-based and API testing
• Familiar with defect tracking and test management tools
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
• Experience in payment, transaction, or high-availability systems is an advantage
