Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑orientated QC Inspector with experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure the accuracy and quality of our manufactured parts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing inspections using CMM equipment to verify the dimensional integrity of components, ensuring they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment to inspect and verify the dimensions and tolerances of components.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders to understand part requirements and inspection criteria.
  • Perform first-article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections of parts produced by CNC machines and other manufacturing processes.
  • Document and record inspection results, including measurements, defects, and deviations from specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant quality management systems.
  • Calibrate CMM equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate findings to engineering and production teams.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist in the development of inspection procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a QC Inspector with expertise in using CMM machines (e.g., Hexagon Global S, Zeiss, Mitutoyo, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
  • Knowledge of computer‑aided design (CAD) software is a plus.
  • Experience with manual measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and calibration on CMM equipment.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in Quality Control, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CMM Inspector or in a similar quality control role.
  • Familiarity with CMM programming (e.g., Calypso, PC-DMIS) is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while operating CMM equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
