MSR Green Energy Sdn Bhd – Rembau, Negeri Sembilan

MSR Green Energy Sdn. Bhd. (“MSR-GE”), a leading EPCC contractor in Malaysia’s RE sector, is seeking a technically competent and detail-oriented QA / QC Engineer with over three (3) years of relevant experience for a site-based role under a fixed 2.5-year contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing, monitoring, and enforcing quality assurance and quality control systems across utility-scale RE projects, including Large-Scale Solar PV (“LSS”) and potentially Battery Energy Storage Systems (“BESS”).

This position will be initially assigned for a short-term stint at our Rembau, Negeri Sembilan LSS project site, before a subsequent redeployment to another LSS site in Bachok, Kelantan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive QA / QC plans and strategies for solar construction projects, ensuring alignment with national standards and project specifications.
  • Perform rigorous inspections and audits across all stages of project execution, from site preparation through to final commissioning of HV and PV solar equipment, including inspection of all incoming materials delivered to site.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to identify, document, and rectify any quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Oversee the quality of materials, workmanship, and practices on‑site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Manage the QA / QC documentation process, maintaining meticulous records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
  • Facilitate training and awareness sessions for site staff and contractors on quality standards, best practices, and specific project quality requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for QA / QC matters with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in QA / QC roles, ideally within the solar energy sector or construction industry.
  • In‑depth knowledge of quality assurance and control practices, standards, and regulations relevant to the solar industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with the skill to manage and influence teams towards achieving quality objectives.
  • Competency in using project management and quality assurance software tools, as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented approach, with a commitment to upholding the highest quality standards and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
