A manufacturing company located in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a QA Engineer to provide supervisory support for daily quality assurance activities. The ideal candidate must have a degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, and familiarity with statistical techniques and measurement tools such as CMM. Responsibilities include liaising with customers on quality issues, monitoring complaints, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Provide supervisory role to inspectors/technicians on daily QA activities to support production and related departments.
Liaise with customers on resolution to quality issues and develop corrective actions as required (CAR or 8D report).
Up‑keep the MRB area through chairing regular meetings.
Ensure that quality records are updated and accurate.
Involve in participation of continuous improvement projects.
Liaise with customers to understand their expectations and communicate it to internal departments.
Monitor Customer Returns DPPM and Customer Complaints using report and advise Management of status & Monthly KPI data collection and summary.
Develop appropriate and effective Sampling Plan and Techniques for inspection.
Support production and QA/QC teams in troubleshooting measurement‑related issues.
To comply with Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conducts, ISO9001:2015 QMS, ISO14001:2015 EMS & IATF16949:2016 AQMS.
To verify and approve daily QA records.
To set the daily QA job for QA dept.
To verify the work of subordinate at any time.
To disapprove any products or materials if they are not in specifications related to in‑house or supplier.
Minimum degree in mechanical or manufacturing or quality engineering.
Supervisory skills with knowledge in statistical techniques.
Familiarity with tools like CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), OMM (Optical Measuring Machine) and etc. Experience with CMM software (e.g., PC‑DMIS, MCOSMOS) is a plus.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a QA Engineer in a metal stamping or manufacturing company.
