We are seeking experienced and highly skilled professionals to lead and oversee the daily operations of our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing plant in Malacca. This role calls for a detail‑oriented and analytical leader with strong communication and management skills to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, providing valuable insights, guidance, and strategic support to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Your Role in Our Team
A. Quality Planning & Control
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans, inspection standards, and control procedures for metal stamping processes.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, control plans, PFMEA, and work instructions for quality compliance.
- Prepare and maintain PPAP, FAI, and customer documentation as required for new product introduction (NPI).
- Establish and maintain incoming, in‑process, and outgoing inspection criteria.
B. Quality Inspection & Auditing
- Conduct in‑process and final inspections of stamped parts, ensuring dimensional and visual conformity using gauges, CMM, and measurement tools.
- Perform process audits, product audits, and system audits in accordance with ISO/IATF standards.
- Identify and investigate quality issues, defects, or non‑conformances; determine root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support supplier audits and evaluations for incoming material quality.
C. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Lead 8D, PDCA, and root cause analysis for customer complaints and internal quality issues.
- Collaborate with Production, Tooling, and Engineering teams to improve stamping process capability and reduce rejection rates.
- Monitor and analyze quality KPIs (defect rate, scrap, rework, customer PPM) and drive improvement actions.
- Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen activities related to quality improvement.
D. Customer & Documentation Management
- Liaise with customers regarding quality feedback, non‑conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action requests.
- Prepare and submit quality reports, PPAP documentation, and audit summaries.
- Maintain all quality documentation, calibration records, and traceability systems in accordance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 requirements.
Who We’re Looking For
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) in Quality Control / Manufacturing Technology is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in metal stamping or precision manufacturing.
- Familiar with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and control plan development.
- Experience in using measurement instruments (micrometer, vernier caliper, height gauge, profile projector, CMM, etc.).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 systems.
- Knowledge of CMM will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Good communication and report‑writing skills in English and Chinese.
- Proficient in MS Office and quality management software/tools.
Language
- Good command of English and Chinese (Mandarin), both written and spoken.
