Job Title: Finished Goods Inspector
Summary/Objective

Verify parts, products, and/or processes to ensure conformance to standards. Inspect materials or products using digital calipers and x-ray machines.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  1. Compare product BOM parts lists or material part numbers to ensure completion of component or assembly orders.
  2. Verify specified dimensions on products or materials using inspection equipment.
  3. Input quality findings into Samtec’s computerized quality system.
  4. Perform a variety of tasks requiring thorough knowledge of inspection techniques, materials, equipment, and Samtec Systems.
  5. Ensure conformance to established quality specifications by working from engineering drawings, sketches, manuals, or prototypes.
  6. Work in compliance with established quality assurance procedures to maintain quality and consistency in inspection criteria.
  7. Assist in creating and designing quality assurance procedures and programs to achieve department objectives.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of inspections performed, serving as informational and historical sources for acceptable quality standards.

Required Experience
  • A minimum of one year in an inventory, shipping, receiving, and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Must have 20/40 correctable vision and color acuity.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes without sensory deprivation or paralysis of limbs.
Education

High school diploma or GED required.

Training Required

On-the-job training as appropriate.
