Job description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all procured raw materials, specifically chemicals, meet established safety standards (including SDS compliance), quality standards (COA & Halal), and regulatory requirements (DOSH/DOE).
  • Actively follow up on material deliveries to ensure all goods arrive on time according to the production schedule.
  • Liaise closely with the Planner regarding delivery schedules; discuss and confirm any revised schedules to maintain production flow.
  • Communicate immediately with the Planner if suppliers inform of any material shortages or potential delays.
  • Prepare comprehensive payment documentation and submit payment requests to the Finance Department for processing.
  • Ensure all procured materials and equipment meet established safety standards, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage documentation regarding the quality of purchased materials to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve any safety issues regarding materials.
  • Tally Purchase Order (PO) amounts with Delivery Order (DO) and Invoice amounts within the SAP system to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of working experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred. However, Fresh Graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian regulations such as CLASS Regulations 2013, Poisons Act, and Halal requirements for raw materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS/CSDS) to ensure the factory can safely store the ordered chemicals.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin preferred to effectively communicate with Headquarters in China and interpret relevant documentation.
  • Working knowledge of the SAP system is a distinct added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
