Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement: From purchase requisition, issuance of purchase orders, supplier negotiation, delivery monitoring to payment processing
• Source and procure materials for new product development and existing products while achieving continuous cost savings
• Forecast, plan, execute and control purchasing activities and inventory levels in line with company policy
• Collaborate closely with Product, Production and Store teams on material requirements, Bill of Materials (BOM), demand planning and delivery schedules
• Negotiate with suppliers on price, quality, delivery, payment terms and service levels to achieve the most cost‑effective outcomes
• Initiate cost‑reduction programs, identify alternative suppliers and implement contingency plans for supply disruptions
• Maintain and update the Approved Vendor List, conduct supplier audits/visits and evaluate supplier performance periodically
• Track purchasing trends, competitor pricing and market dynamics to propose competitive pricing strategies while protecting healthy margins
• Prepare monthly, yearly and ad‑hoc purchasing reports and presentations for management
• Support cross‑functional projects and perform any other ad‑hoc tasks assigned by superiors or Directors

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (Bachelor’s degree is an advantage)
• Minimum 2‑3 years of procurement/purchasing experience in the food manufacturing or frozen food industry
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation, cost reduction and inventory management
• Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments preferred
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP/MRP systems
• Familiar with forecasting, demand planning and inventory control techniques
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Mandarin or Chinese dialect proficiency is a strong advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels
• Result‑oriented, resourceful and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Dynamic, hands‑on, willing to work long hours and be contactable after office hours/weekends when required
• High integrity, trustworthy and able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Positive attitude, mature, committed and a strong team player
• Willing to travel locally and overseas as and when required
• Deep passion for food equality and making affordable, nutritious food accessible to all
