A leading procurement company is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of materials. This full-time role requires at least 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, strong negotiation and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams. The PURCHASING EXECUTIVE will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and supplies to support operational needs. This is a full-time role that offers the opportunity to develop and enhance procurement skills in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
Responsible for sourcing and purchasing of direct and or indirect materials as assigned by Purchasing Manager
Clarifying item descriptions, material components, cost estimates, risks, resources, and follow-up status of orders.
Observing product quality, inventory conditions, and manufacturing changes, reporting relevant information, and making adjustment when needed.
Managing and evaluating suppliers, including negotiating the best terms a while balancing costs, product volumes, and lead times.
Handling product change requests from customers, partners, or internal staff.
Supporting all purchasing activities to ensure they are performed effectively and efficiently.
Performing daily tasks in the absence of other purchasing staff.
Communicating with suppliers, forwarders, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery
Oversee raw material inventory and ensure that inventory turnover aligns with company objectives.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and meet the company's procurement needs
Collaborate with the Quality department to conduct supplier audits as required.
Work with the Quality department to manage the return of goods to vendors due to quality issues.
Maintaining detailed records and reports on purchasing activities and for data analysis.
Carrying out any duties assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, Engineering, or a closely related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers as well as internal parties.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Proficient in using Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Familiar with ERP system.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and work on odd hours when necessary.
Proficient in both spoken and written English.
Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
