LUNAR SHIPPING SDN BHD' is seeking a talented and proactive Purchasing Executive to join our team in Port Klang, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our logistics operations by ensuring the timely procurement of materials, equipment and services required for our shipping business.

What you’ll be doing

Manage the procurement of a diverse range of products and services required for our shipping operations, from office supplies to specialist equipment

Liaise with suppliers to negotiate favourable pricing, delivery terms and quality assurance

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases, invoices and inventory levels

Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues in operations, finance and other departments to align purchasing activities with business needs

Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing processes and implement cost‑saving measures

Support the management of supplier relationships and performance

Assist with the preparation of purchasing reports and analysis as required

What we’re looking for

2‑3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the logistics or manufacturing industry

Strong negotiation and contract management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software

Highly organised with a keen eye for detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines

Familiarity with logistics operations and supply chain management principles
