• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
• Working experience in manufacturing/FMCG environment preferred.
• Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team at Guan Chong Cocoa Manufacturer Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a Purchasing Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing operations by sourcing and procuring high-quality materials and supplies. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Procure spare parts, raw materials, consumable items and services required by end user and ensure the delivery are on time.
• Issue Purchase Orders (PO) using the system and maintain accurate records in the system.
• Source and evaluate new suppliers when required.
• Handle import shipments and delivery arrangements for overseas purchases.
• Liaise with external parties such as Customs, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and related agencies for import shipments.
• Ensuring that shipment requirement are attended efficiently and effectively.
• Coordinate with the logistics team on the arrival of spare parts or raw materials.
• Conduct monthly physical stock counts together with the warehouse department.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the superior from time to time.

What we're looking for

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, bachelor's degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
• Working experience in manufacturing / FMGC environment will be preferred.
• Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Preferably Executives specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
