Job summary

A well-known portable sanitation company in Seri Kembangan is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support the purchasing team with administrative tasks, supplier coordination, and inventory management. Candidates should possess at least an SPM or Diploma/Degree and have proven experience with strong negotiation and communication skills. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of handling logistical processes while ensuring timely deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Clerk with knowledge of logistical processes.
  • Ability to support in various administrative tasks for the purchasing team.
  • Strong skills in negotiating prices and terms.

Responsibilities

  • Support the purchasing team in various administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to order materials and supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track shipments for timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory levels.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms of contracts with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team for supply chain optimization.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to shipments and pricing.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance for cost savings.

We are representing our client, a well known portable sanitation company based in Seri Kembangan. As our client is expanding, they are looking for Purchasing Assistant to join their team.

Job Description
  • Support the purchasing team in various administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to order materials, supplies, and equipment based on inventory needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Communicate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms of contracts.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments, delivery schedules, or pricing.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
Requirements

1. Candidate should possess minimum SPM, Diploma / Degree in any field.

2. Proven experience as a Purchasing Clerk with knowledge of logistical processes.

3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.

4. Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management principles.

Working Hours

8:30am - 5.00pm (Monday - Friday)

Seri Kembangan, Selangor

Salary Package

RM 2,100 + Allowance: RM 200
