About the role

This full‑time Project Manager / Senior Project Manager role is an excellent opportunity to join the team at MJC CITY DEVELOPMENT SDN BHD, a leading property development company based in Kuching, Sarawak. As a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, you will play a key part in delivering residential leasing and property management services for the company's diverse property portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate property development projects from feasibility, design, construction to handover.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and cash flow projections.
  • Coordinate with consultants (architects, engineers, quantity surveyors) to ensure designs meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, quality of work, and site safety, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Control project costs and variations, ensuring expenditures remain within approved budgets.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
  • Ensure timely submission and approval of plans, permits, and statutory requirements with relevant authorities.
  • Conduct regular site meetings, prepare progress reports, and update management on project status.
  • Resolve site issues, technical problems, and conflicts among stakeholders promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control throughout the construction process.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and defect rectification prior to project completion.
  • Manage project handover, including documentation, warranties, and defects liability period.
  • Support management in strategic planning, feasibility studies, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Uphold company policies, standards, and best practices in project management.

  • Diploma/Degree in Architecture, Engineering, QS & Construction
  • Good communication skills; ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
