An engineering services provider based in Penang seeks a qualified engineer to manage Electrical and ELV services for projects. Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To participate in planning, managing and implementing Electrical and ELV services for projects.
• To prepare Construction, Shop drawing and As built drawing for MandE System.
• To ensure works are done as per contract's specification.
• To assist pre-contract and tender division with tender support for Electrical and ELV services / project support.
• To coordinate, monitor and review construction work progress.
• To undertake any and all others duties and responsibilities as instructed.
• Inspection and reporting of installation works completed by Contractor.
• Ensuring all materials delivered to site conform with the approved specifications and Contract requirements.
• Identifying all outstanding work to be carried out timely to meet the timeline stipulated in the Contracts.
• Identifying potential problems and delay at site and report regularly to superiors on the progress of works.
• Filing of all relevant forms, documents, reports, correspondence and records in accordance with ISO requirement.
• To verify subcontractors’ claim progress and prepare progress claim for submission to client/consultant according to site monthly progress.
• Attend and coordinate all MandE matters with various Consultants, Contractors and relevant Authorities.
• Review and ensure MandE layout design in terms of functionality, buildability, maintainability, cost efficiency, and sustainability aspects are complied with.
• Liaise and coordinate with Consultants for MandE submissions and approvals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Preferably candidates who has at least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Required skill(s): MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD
• Able to work independently with good interpersonal skills and able to communicate to all levels
• Applicants must be willing to travel
• Willingly to be based at Penang area
