Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager to oversee various project aspects such as site coordination, procurement, and tendering. The ideal candidate should hold a relevant engineering degree and possess over 5 years of experience in projects related to Water, Sewerage, or Flood Mitigation, with strong skills in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Responsibilities include project scheduling, ensuring compliance with client requirements, and preparing necessary documentation for authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with a preference for relevant engineering disciplines.
• More than 5 years of experience in Water, Sewerage or Flood Mitigation projects.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Director and assist with all project matters.
• Coordinate and monitor project assignments.
• Prepare documentation and presentations for approval.

The Project Manager will be reporting to Project Director.

Job Overview

The Project Manager will assist the Project Director in all project matters including site coordination, site visits, producing reports, monitoring procurement and delivery of goods to site, liaison with authority, contractors and external consultant etc. The candidate shall also assist in all tendering exercise where necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties

Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned project.

To attend meeting with consultants and authorities.

To assist procurement team to carry out and execute the procurement plan including checking and reviewing documents.

To ensure compliance of project in accordance to authority and client requirement.

To prepare presentation slides when necessary.

To liaise with authority for permits, license and approval required for the project.

To prepare work method statement for consultant/authority approval.

To ensure compliance of ISO documentation procedure is adhered all the time.

To keep tract of construction drawings from time to time.

To assist contract department in tendering exercise.

Requirements

Degree holder preferable in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil or Environmental.

Preferable more than 5 years of experience in Water, Sewerage or Flood Mitigation Project. Senior position requiring min 10 years of experience.

Knowledge in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel & Word.

AutoCAD knowledge is added advantage.

A team player, Pro-active, self-motivated, good interpersonal and communication skill.

Willing to work outstation based on project location.

Possess own transport.
