A construction and engineering firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Project Manager to develop and manage comprehensive project plans across infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of proven experience, particularly in roadworks and commercial building. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer is highly advantageous. Responsibilities include project budgeting, coordination with stakeholders, and quality control to ensure project compliance and success.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met.
Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly to keep the project on track.
Provide guidance and direction to team members, subcontractors, and vendors.
Conduct regular meetings to communicate project updates, milestones, and expectations.
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and tracking.
Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project profitability.
Review and approve project expenses, invoices, and change orders.
Lead and oversee all aspects of tendering and contractual matters for the projects in which the company is involved, from initiation to implementation.
Lead and chair the tender participation/quotation committee for awarding works to subcontractors and suppliers, making informed decisions that align with project objectives.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and requirements.
Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Address any legal or contractual issues that may arise during the project.
Act as the primary point of contact for client communications, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Provide regular reports to the top management regarding project performance in relation to contract requirements.
Actively participate in audits related to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards.
Perform ad‑hoc tasks given by the Management.
