As the Project Engineer, Specifically, you will possess following skillset:
Overall
  • Lead the Continual Improvement Projects mainly in Heading process to improve the Productivity, Quality, Cost & Delivery.
  • Improve the processes & resolve the issues using Lean, Six Sigma, SMED, Industry 4.0, Digitalization & Automation in Heading and other processes.
  • Manage and lead the CRB (Change Review Board) process for any New and Change Processes.
  • Support to develop the Control Plan, FMEA, Procedures, Work Instructions especially at the new and improvement stage.
  • Provide Technical support to Production, Quality and Sales on Technical issues mainly related to Heading Process.
  • Lead the Process Team Process Auditing for continuous shopfloor stability.
  • Provide Training to the shop floor on New Process Improvements / Development / Standards.
  • Conduct experiments using DOE methodologies and other Statistical Tools.
  • Develop and establish required New Processes for future growth.
  • Authorize to decide on the outcome of the evaluation run and propose for alternative solutions and implementation through CRB.
  • Authorize to work with the suppliers directly to bring in New Technology and Improvements.
  • Authorize to stop the Machines if there is any out-of-Control process.
  • Perform other task assigned by superior or company from time to time.

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in handling Continual Improvement Projects or related fields.
  • Experience in Fastener Manufacturing Processes (Specifically Heading/Cold Forming processes) is preferrable.
  • Knowledge and Experience in the Project Management Tools & Techniques
  • Knowledge and Experience in Process Improvement Tools and Techniques e.g. LEAN, Six sigma (Green/Black belt), Automation, Poka Yoke, SPC, DOE, etc.
  • Knowledge & Experience in Industry 4.0 / SMART factory solutions
  • Knowledge & Experience in ISO9001, ISO/TS16949, requirements with the experience in 5 Core Tools.
  • Experience in handling new machine transfer and equipment validation with MSA approach.
  • Experience in using software such as MS office, AutoCAD, Pro-E, Minitab, etc.
  • Strong Analytical Thinking in Root Cause and Data Analysis.
  • Able to work with the Cross Functional Team to complete the process improvement efforts to provide improved product quality and productivity levels.
