Job summary

A technology company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Software Tester to write and execute testing procedures for various software products. You'll work closely with development and support teams to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Responsibilities include correcting defects, recording test results, and ensuring thorough testing before installation. Strong skills in C++, Java, and SQL are required, and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided.

Job description

Write and execute testing procedures in English language that describe detailed test cases for various software products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

Correct minor defects in tested programs and report more serious defects to the development team for reworking.

Properly record the results of your tests.

Take formal responsibility for ensuring that software products are adequately tested before installation.

Work closely with the Development Team in reviewing product requirements and design.

Work closely with the Support Team to investigate fault conditions, and subsequently provide inputs to any fault correction process that might ensue.

Requirements:

A strong sense of responsibility and understanding of engineering ethics.

Familiarity with C++, Java and SQL.

Ability to write testing procedures and associated technical documentation in English.

In-depth knowledge of system testing techniques (both black box and white box).

Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
