A leading technology company in Penang is seeking a skilled professional to support manufacturing activities including the testing and assembly of electromechanical systems. Candidates should have a minimum diploma in Electronics & Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering, with 1-4 years of relevant experience. Effective communication skills are essential. This position requires working 12-plus hour shifts in a dynamic environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus. The role combines on-site collaboration with the flexibility to work remotely.
Supports Manufacturing activities such as design, test, modification, and assembly of electromechanical systems, devices, and specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics, and logic systems. Works from work instructions, schematics, diagrams, and appropriate documents. Works with layouts or defined plans to perform testing and trouble-shooting functions. Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Understands and can operate all test equipment. Uses manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus. Effectively read and follow work instructions for proper product assembly function. May troubleshoot basic mechanical & software issues within the assembly manufacturing environment. Escalate problem and/or solution to appropriate group. Create NCIs and supplier investigations for logistics.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
