Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the warehouse and production area. Responsibilities include planning workflow, conducting inventory checks, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Industrial Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in English and strong leadership skills are required to manage and develop a high-performing team.

Job description

• Plan the daily work in Goods In Warehouse, Production Area, and Goods Out Warehouse in order to ensure tasks are carried out efficiently.

• Conduct regular stock takes of our inventory and achieve 100% inventory accuracy by reconciling with data storage system.

• Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements of unloading/loading area, Goods In Warehouse, Production and Goods Out Warehouse.

• To schedule and supervise work in extra time.

• Manage & cross train team.

• Identify areas for efficiency improvements.

• Always ensure full contingency cover.

• Record and investigate non conformances, reworking where possible.

• Coordinate and ensure maintenance of the production equipment according to the established schedule.

• Investigate and respond to customer requirements throughout the supply chain from internal to external customer.

• Liaison between department and Senior Management concerning trends and problem areas.

• Monitor hazardous waste activities in the factory.

• Analyze and monitor the indicators, in order to take the necessary measures.

• Guarantee cleanliness and order of the factory.

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

• Ensure compliance with the company's industrial safety guidelines for the factory.

• Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.

• Maintains Production/Warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

• Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.

• Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
