A leading manufacturing company seeks a qualified individual for a role focused on Continuous Improvement and production management in Selangor, Malaysia. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Food Processing, proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and strong analytical and leadership skills. Responsibilities include managing production functions, developing maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with good manufacturing practices and quality management standards.
Proposes and implement Continuous Improvement projects.
Responsible for the day-to-day production function.
Develop and implement production preventive maintenance programs. Constantly check it is correctly and adequately applied with result documented.
Establish and implement production standard procedures and work instructions.
Lead production supervisor and production staff to identify and troubleshoot faults on process automation systems, machinery or utilities with skills, knowledge, and experience.
Review and feasibility study to increase production equipment efficiency, productivity, reliability, and cost reduction.
Monitor production consumable, maintenance spare parts and other production maintenance items inventory to ensure timely purchase and made available for use.
Participate in the product quality root cause analysis investigation.
Involve and contribute to production QMS and OSHA improvement activities.
Plant liaison with outsourced contractors and equipment suppliers on new system startup commissioning and equipment repair maintenance.
Any other tasks assigned by Production Manager.
To cultivate and encourage departmental employees towards a positive Quality and Food Safety culture through communication, training, feedback, engagement, and performance measurement.
To consistently practice Good Manufacturing Practices, MDWT, Good Hygiene Practices, maintaining plant Hygiene in compliance with FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP and AGPRM requirements at work.
To participate and engage in Quality and Food Safety Culture related programmes such as communication, training, feedback, and performance measurement.
Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Food Processing, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Open to both fresh graduates and candidates with relevant working experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Production Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively address and resolve production and product quality issues.
Exhibits strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead, train, motivate, and supervise production personnel to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and QMS requirements.
