A leading appliances and air conditioning company is seeking a Production Planning Manager responsible for total production planning and overseeing management activities. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with at least 3 years of managerial experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities, are essential. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems like SAP. Knowledge of Japanese is an advantage.
Responsible for the total production planning & oversee management activities within the organization.
Determine production requirements based on plant capacity, review bottlenecks & provide recommendations for capacity shortages/excess from time to time.
Proactively anticipate issues, enforce decisions, balance opportunities, and mitigate risks as early as possible.
Lead weekly & monthly master production schedule meetings and prepare necessary reports for management.
Work closely with related parties to resolve day‑to‑day operations and ensure the effectiveness of department activities.
Manage all staff within the department and ensure the team completes tasks completely & correctly.
Perform any other ad hoc tasks assigned from time to time.
Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or Professional Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or any other related business field.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in a managerial role, preferably in a related field and fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Well knowledgeable in total Supply Chain Management with highly developed analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication ability; ability to converse in Japanese language is an advantage.
A proactive thinker with attention to detail.
Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities & tasks on a regular basis.
Ability to positively motivate individuals & teams to meet or exceed expectations.
Good team player, eager to cooperate with others; with exceptional interpersonal‑communication skills.
Strong leadership skills, good working attitude – showing initiative and independence, ability to negotiate & coordinate.
Candidate must have strong computer skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & etc. Experience in SAP key user and ERP system is an advantage.
