Job summary

A leading logistics company located in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking a Production Manager to develop and implement production plans while ensuring adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor's degree in Production or Operations Management, along with a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience. Responsibilities include monitoring production activities, preparing work orders, and maintaining operational efficiency. Immediate availability is preferred.

Job description

Develop and implement production plans to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards.

Monitor production activity and analyze production data so that the flow of materials is timed meet production requirements.

Prepare work orders for production or purchase requests based on production schedules.

To plan / purchase the components / raw materials and ensure smooth flow and supply of these materials to production.

Interface with engineering and others supporting function groups to resolve production issues.

Maintain efficiency and a disciplined workforce through monitoring absenteeism and tardiness and adherence to company rules and regulations to attain high standard of workmanship.

Maintaining safety regulation, GMP / Housekeeping at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes and procedures.

Required Skills:

Minimum Bachelor’s in Production/Operations Management, Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of related production or manufacturing environment

Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling and control technique.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.

Immediate availability is highly preferred.
