Job summary

A leading construction materials company in Malaysia is seeking a production worker to ensure compliance with safety standards and efficient production processes. You will be responsible for producing products, adhering to regulations, and reporting issues to the production supervisor. The ideal candidate should have at least SPM and two years of relevant experience, with the ability to perform simple calculations and communicate in English or Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

  • Able to work independently.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all PPE requirements.
  • Observe occupational EHS regulations.
  • Produce products as per Production Sheet.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the work area.
  • Report day-to-day operations issues to Production Supervisor.
  • Pack finished products according to specifications.

Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd currently employs more than 340 people in Sales & Marketing, Technical Service, Finance, HR & Administration, Laboratory, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service and Warehouse.

Job Description

Main Tasks

  1. To comply with all PPE requirements in carrying out the job
  2. To always be in good conduct that does not endanger/EHS neither themselves nor other persons.
  3. To observe the regulations/operating instructions concerning occupational EHS; safety, health and environmental protection issued for the respective work area
  4. To produce the products as stated in the Production Sheet
  5. To ensure samples are taken and delivered to Quality Control Department for quality test
  6. To report on any day-to-day operations issue to the Production Supervisor
  7. To do the packing of the finished products according to the weight specification required as stipulated in Production Orders
  8. Proper recording and compilation of the production documents i.e.: Production Orders for submission to the warehouse for stock updating
  9. To ensure the cleanliness of work area
  10. To attend toolbox meeting conducted by the Production Supervisor
  11. Only use workrooms, machines, equipment, means of transport and internal routes which are clearly safe.
  12. To operate the machinery of the plant efficiently and safely
  13. To report any machine breakdown to the Production Supervisor
  14. To execute any other tasks given by the Production Supervisor
  15. To communicate any improvement ideas to Production Supervisor to simplify the process steps/flow.
