Job description

We are a multi‑national company involved in developing, manufacturing and marketing intelligent and ergonomic products, located in I‑park Industrial area, Kulai, Johor. We are looking to hire a Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Production Management: Plan, organize, and supervise daily production operations to meet production schedules and quality standards. Allocate resources (labor, materials, equipment) effectively to optimize productivity. Monitor production KPIs such as output, efficiency, waste, and downtime.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate production staff, including supervisors, line leaders, operators and material handlers. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching or disciplinary actions when necessary. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Quality Control: Ensure finished products meet company and customer specifications. Work with the quality assurance team to resolve defects and implement corrective actions. Maintain quality records and documentation.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment. Conduct regular safety meetings and audits. Report and investigate accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Equipment & Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment – Sewing, rivet punch, robotics, spray glue and all production machinery. Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Inventory & Materials Management: Ensure proper inventory of all production raw material are tally production system. Timing job confirm to eliminate aging stock at production.
• Cross‑communication: Resolve emergency issues and quickly respond to requirements from other departments.
• Ensure that QMS, 5S and safety & health guidelines are followed.
• Maintain effectiveness of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Qualifications

• Possess at least SPM/Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate or equivalent in any field.
• At least 3 years of working experience in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
• Pro‑active and willing to contribute to the overall business environment & able to motivate workforce to achieve corporate objectives.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required as you would need to liaise with stakeholders from China.
