About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our manufacturing team at LEE FAH MEE SENDIRIAN BERHAD in Kuching, Sarawak. Full-time role. You will Plan, Coordinate, and Control Production activities to maximize productivity, meet output targets, optimize manpower, and ensure on‑time delivery while maintaining quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
• Align production plans with sales forecast, inventory levels, and raw material availability
• Plan manpower, machine capacity, and shift schedules
• Coordinate with inter‑department

Productivity & Efficiency

• Monitor line efficiency, output per hour, and manpower productivity
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
• Lead initiatives to reduce downtime, wastage, and reworks
• Track and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

Production Control

• Ensure production runs according to plan
• Adjust schedules based on machine breakdowns or raw material issues
• Control WIP and finished goods inventory
• Maintain accurate production records and reports

Team Coordination

• Supervise production supervisors and planners
• Work closely with QA, Maintenance, and Warehouse
• Train team on productivity standards and SOPs

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety SOPs
• Participate in audits and continuous improvement programs
• Support new products launches and production line commissioning

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a production or operations management role, preferably in the FMCG (food production) industry
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling and control techniques
• Proficient in data analysis and process improvement methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve production targets
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
