Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced manager to oversee production operations. Responsibilities include implementing strategies for growth, managing production lines to meet quality standards, and supporting new product transitions. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of management experience in manufacturing, with a strong understanding of quality systems, particularly ISO 9001:2015.

Job description

Implements and maintain strategies established by HQ for the product lines’ growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsible for operations of production lines and general facilities within performance targets (such as capacity, productivity, scrap rates, on time delivery and financial budgets) and ensures that they are mission and quality standard compliant

Responsible for developing (for HQ approval), implementing and maintaining engineering strategies that drive overall company achievement in making incremental measurable improvements in manufacturing methods, techniques, process, equipment, quality, cost reduction and productivity to ensure company growth.

Drives and supports quality initiatives designed to retain and maintain ISO‑9001:2015 certification, and other related international certification requirements.

Supports Headquarter’s New Product Development Team to ensure a successful transition of products and process (including introduction of new equipment) from design to production

Responsible for managing, facilitating, coaching and developing the Facilities/Engineering teams in meeting or exceeding production goals in productivity, quality, yield, OSD, cycle time, machine/equipment maintenance & uptime (preventative maintenance), cost and safety/housekeeping/Environmental Health and Safety.

Supports Companies in Group as requested by HQ to ensure effective parallel production and other Group production sites.

Job Requirements

• Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is a plus
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (TS 16949 Quality Systems a plus)
• At least 5 years management experience, with 3 years of which in a manufacturing particularly in Operations, Engineering or QA
