Job summary

A leading food processing company in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, seeks a Supervisor for Processing and Packing Operations. The role includes leading teams, ensuring compliance with GMP, Halal, HACCP, and quality standards while achieving production targets. Candidates should possess strong organizational and leadership skills, alongside excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise processing and packing activities.
• Ensure products are processed safely and efficiently.
• Monitor processing flow and ensure raw materials are used correctly.
• Coordinate with QC/QA for in-process checks.
• Conduct in-process checks and enforce GMP practices.
• Report machine abnormalities and support maintenance activities.
• Submit daily production and packing reports.

Job description

Job Scope & Responsibilities

Lead, supervise, and perform processing and packing activities when required, ensuring products are processed and packed safely, hygienically, efficiently, and in full compliance with GMP, Halal, HACCP, and MeSTI requirements, while meeting production targets and quality standards.

A. Processing Operations (Supervisory & Hands-On)

Lead and supervise daily processing activities

Perform processing tasks personally when manpower is insufficient or during peak demand

Ensure correct raw materials are used

Monitor processing flow

Coordinate with QC/QA and Production Manager for in-process checks and approvals

B. Packing Operations (Supervisory & Hands-On)

Lead and supervise daily packing line operations

Carry out packing activities personally when required to meet production targets

Ensure smooth and controlled flow from processing to packing

C. Line Clearance & Setup Control (Processing & Packing)

Coordinate with QC/QA and Production Manager for line clearance verification and approval

D. Quality & Process Control

Conduct in-process checks

Enforce GMP practices while supervising and while personally performing processing or packing

Maintain Halal integrity throughout processing and packing

F. Coordination with Production, QC & Maintenance

Report machine abnormalities, downtime, or safety issues immediately

Support maintenance activities by ensuring proper shutdown and controlled restart

G. Documentation & Reporting

Submit daily production and packing reports to the Production Coordinator

Support traceability, investigation, and CAPA activities

H. Safety, Discipline & Housekeeping

Follow and enforce safety practices while supervising and during hands-on work

Ensure PPE usage at all times

Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards

Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
