Job description
Overview

Product Reliability Engineer. You will own the form, fit and function of HP Print-heads and provide engineering resolutions to product/manufacturing issues. You will implement a strong Product Quality System across the value chain, driving Product Qualification/Change Management processes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resolution and implement engineering solution to product/manufacturing issue

  • Work with cross functional partners in setting up and ramping new manufacturing line

  • Engage R&D and Product Development to enable New Product Introductions and Extensions

  • Identify the risks early in the program and determine the test methods needed to characterize the product to ensure we meet the end-customer needs. This is especially true in any product or process NUDs

  • Throughout the program, characterize the product to ensure we understand the risks and what it would take to address the risks

  • Drive Product Qualification processes

  • Drive and implement strong Product Quality and Reliability System

  • Own the form, fit and function of HP Printhead and drive Change Management

  • Engage and drive solutions across HP value chains team such as Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Tech Support as well as Production, to improve Manufacturing Line Productivity, Yield and Quality

  • Conceptualize, Develop and Deliver solutions to simplify Processes and deliver Cost Reduction out of the Operations

Education & Experience
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Material Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience

  • Possess good understanding of manufacturing processes, methodologies and environment, preferably have the experience working in a fast pace and high-volume electronics product manufacturing environment

  • Strong leadership and organization skills

  • Able to work well under Stress, both internally and across functions

  • Fast learner, Proactive and Self driven character

  • Technically inclined and Hands-on personality

  • Fluent in English both spoken and written

  • Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving and Project Management skills

  • Good Understanding of Quality Assurance & Process Control Knowledge

  • Excellent team player, interpersonal and communication skill
