Job Responsibilities
- Lead quality-related activities during product development and introduction stages, including APQP and PPAP submissions in accordance with customer requirements.
- Establish and maintain quality documentation such as Control Plans, PFMEA, inspection standards, process checklists, and relevant records.
- Ensure that process and product inspection standards and control plans are properly implemented and maintained.
Process Improvement & Analysis
- Analyze production and process quality data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Apply quality and problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, SPC, Lean, and Six Sigma to drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Implement process improvements and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
Customer, Internal & Supplier Communication
- Maintain direct communication with internal stakeholders and customer quality representatives to ensure project requirements and quality issues are addressed, and provide regular status updates.
- Manage customer complaints, including corrective actions, closure, and documentation.
Audit & Compliance
- Support internal audits, process audits, and customer audits to ensure compliance with quality management standards (e.g. ISO 9001).
- Ensure quality systems and documentation comply with regulatory, customer, and industry requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
- Provide quality-related training and guidance to relevant personnel.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare quality reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and performance indicators for management and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain complete records of quality issues, corrective actions, verification results, and audit outcomes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Familiar with ISO 9001 and other quality management system standards; Internal Auditor certification is an advantage.
- Good data analysis skills with hands-on experience using quality tools such as SPC, APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, and 8D.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions, including cross-functional coordination.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing-related quality roles; PQE experience is preferred.
