Job summary

A leading electronics firm in Malaysia is seeking a Product Manager to assist in planning product strategy, conducting market research, and coordinating product launches. The ideal candidate will monitor product performance and manage the lifecycle from launch to clearance. Responsibilities include developing product positioning, tracking market trends, and supporting marketing activities. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for this role, with a focus on maintaining brand consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning product roadmap and category strategy.
  • Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and consumer insights analysis.
  • Develop product positioning, USPs, and value propositions.
  • Coordinate end-to-end product launches and marketing calendars.
  • Communicate with HQ/factory team on product alignment, specs, and forecasting.
  • Track competitor pricing and market trends.
  • Propose product pricing, margin plans, and promotion strategies.
  • Support retail and dealer promotional planning.
  • Create and update product catalogues, leaflets, spec sheets, and key visual assets.
  • Work with designers/agencies to produce high-quality creative materials.
  • Ensure consistency across all marketing content and brand guidelines.
  • Monitor sell-in/sell-through data and analyze product performance.
  • Manage product lifecycle from launch, peak selling, to clearance.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments, promotions, and bundling strategies.
  • Manage marketing samples, demo units, and product inventory for campaigns.
  • Prepare monthly reports, presentations, and internal briefs.
  • Ad Hoc assisting in marketing events and activities.
