Job summary

A technology company in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a qualified engineer to manage product sustaining activities. This role involves driving improvements in product performance, quality, and cost reduction while supporting new product introductions. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4-6 years of relevant manufacturing experience. Responsibilities

  • Manage product sustaining activities including performance improvement and cost reduction.
  • Support product NPI in feasibility and qualification.
  • Conduct DOE and optimization for evaluation studies.
  • Implement continuous improvement and process optimization projects.
  • Drive yield, quality, and productivity improvement programs.
  • Update and generate process-related documentation.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for systems and machines.
  • Drive cost saving and simplification projects.

Job description

Management of product sustaining activities which include driving product performance improvement (yield, quality, etc.) and cost reduction

Support product/product NPI in feasibility, characterization and qualification.

Manage to conduct DOE and optimization for evaluation study.

Initiate/implement continuous improvement projects, process optimization and characterization for continual improvement.

Drive yield, quality and productivity improvement program.

Update and generate documentation for process-related changes.

System and machine basic troubleshooting.

Drive process cost saving and simplification projects

Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical/electronic/mechanical/mechatronics engineering or other related engineering courses.

4-6 years’ or above of work experience including 2-4 years’ manufacturing process expertise experience in a high paced environment.

Required skill(s): NPI, die attach, flip chip, technical program management, assembly process engineering, dispensing, process improvement, SMT process & etc.
