A growing educational technology firm in Puchong, Malaysia, seeks a versatile Product Associate to enhance user experience across their learning and job search platforms. The role involves mapping user journeys, leading improvements based on data insights, and collaborating with teams to drive key metrics. Ideal candidates have at least a year in product roles, strong analytical skills, and a passion for education technology. Join during a pivotal growth phase with opportunities for impact and professional growth.
Our learning platform (codecademy-style) and job-search agent (Jobier) are growing fast, yet our students/users are still facing friction: engagement drops, confusing flows, slow time-to-value, and limited feedback loops.
We lack someone who can consistently tie student experience across both products into the end-to-end journey and turn feedback into measurable improvement.
We have lots of ideas (growth, partnerships, AI-agent features) but too often execution stalls because the “what’s next” isn’t clearly owned.
We’re hiring a versatile person who gets excited about solving our exact problems, not just checking boxes on a generic “product” template.
Map and optimise the full student/user experience across Sigma School’s new learning portal and Jobier’s job-agent features — from onboarding → learning → job-apply → interview feedback.
Use quantitative & qualitative data (analytics + user interviews) to identify the biggest drop-off/blocked zones (e.g., only 30% of learners reach job-apply stage), then lead the project end-to-end to fix them.
Partner with growth, marketing, content, engineering teams to deliver features and improvements — and track that they move key metrics (engagement, completion, placement rate).
Own the backlog of product improvements: translate student pain into solutions, prioritise ruthlessly (based on impact + effort), define success criteria, ensure delivery and follow‑up.
Be a bridge between our two products (learning portal + Jobier) to ensure a seamless, high‑value path: from learning a skill → getting matched → applying → interviewing.
Help build and refine our product‑culture: experiments, rapid feedback loops, continuous improvement — in a high‑margin education + AI‑agent business context (you’ll see your impact within weeks).
You care about student experience, conversion, and outcomes. Seeing a learner stuck or frustrated makes you want to dig in and fix the flow.
You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats: sometimes UX designer, sometimes analyst, sometimes project‑lead, sometimes domain expert in learning & job‑match flows.
You have an ability to surface the real problem (not just symptoms).
You thrive in high‑growth, margin‑rich business models (ours: ~70‑80% margins at Sigma School) and are comfortable moving fast, iterating, and owning outcomes.
You communicate clearly, make decisions, ask the right questions, and hold cross‑functional teams accountable without needing micro‑management.
You love data and empathy: you can see numbers (analytics, KPI drops) and also talk to learners/users to know why they drop off.
Bonus: Experience with education tech platforms, job‑matching or recruitment tech, or AI‑agent features (not required but helpful).
1+ years in a product‑type role (or strong equivalent) where you’ve improved user experience, growth metrics, or engagement in a digital product.
Strong comfort with data/analytics (SQL, dashboards, experimentation) and with user insights (interviews, usability tests).
Excellent communication skills in English, and you're able to work across growth, content, engineering, and senior leadership.
Self‑starter attitude: you’ll be in a lean team (scaling), you’ll need to own the work and drive it to completion.
Join during a pivotal growth phase: you’ll have real impact on both flagship products (Sigma School’s learning portal and Jobier).
High autonomy: you’ll own the product‑associate lane across two ventures, with clear support and resources from the leadership team.
Competitive salary + profit‑share/opportunity for growth into “Head of Growth / Product” as we scale GM‑level roles.
The chance to work at a business with exceptional margins and growth ambition (we’re building toward RM100 M/year revenue at Sigma School) — this means we value impact highly.
Flexible working environment and culture of continuous improvement and experimentation.
