A machinery solutions provider located in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, is seeking an engineer to perform machine buyoff in factories and onsite with clients. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Perform machine buyoff both in the factory and on-site with customers, ensuring it is completed within schedule and meets quality standards.
  • Conduct motor tuning and machine verification prior to machine setup.
  • Provide technical training and support to customers worldwide on machine/control application-related matters.
  • Investigate quality issues, working closely with the control and mechanical development teams to identify problems and implement solutions.
  • Follow up on tools, parts, and conversion kits ETD to ensure the machine can buyoff on time.
  • Simulate problems, provide solutions, and perform evaluations as required.
  • Prepare technical SOPs, work instructions, forms, and checklists for the internal team.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, quality, and productivity.
  • Provide technical support to the setup and configuration team.
  • Design jigs and fixtures for internal testing purposes.
  • Follow the established safety rules and regulations.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned by the Company from time to time with on time full closure.
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Electrical & Electronics or equivalent).
  • At least 1 year working experience in related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge in Control System, including motor tuning (eg. PID controller).
  • Basic knowledge in various type of motor (eg. stepper motor, servo motor).
  • Basic knowledge in semiconductor processes.
  • Skills and knowledge in using measurement tools (eg. DMM, ESD Tester, Electrostatic Sensor, Oscilloscope).
  • Familiarity with Solidworks, C#, C++ will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Positive work attitude, initiative, and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hardworking, responsible, and able to work overtime or shifts when required.
  • Flexibility to work during weekend or off day as needed.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice, as required by the superior.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
